Governor's Conference on Emergency Management

April 6-7, 2010, Holiday Inn, Great Falls, Montana

While Montana sees it share of disasters and emergencies every year, 2009 was particularly challenging. Major and unusual tragedies tested our responders, rallied our neighbors and demonstrated the value of the partnerships we have developed over the years. Law enforcement, fire, medical, other emergency response professionals and local citizens from Bozeman, Miles City, Dillon, Whitehall and Glasgow were especially hard hit.

This year’s Governor’s Conference speakers will describe some of these events with the intent of informing you, their colleagues and friends, of lessons learned. Sharing these hard learned lessons is an important step in improving our state’s overall level of preparedness and your local ability to respond should such an event strike your community or jurisdiction.
